Ames Main Street Fourth of July Parade Cancelled

In accordance with the Ames City Council guidelines and in response to the ongoing challenges posed by COVID-19, Ames Main Street leaders have cancelled the annual Fourth of July parade.

“The cancellation of the Fourth of July parade and other festivities is regrettable but completely understandable,” says Dan Culhane, President & CEO of the Ames Chamber of Commerce and affiliate organization. “The Ames Main Street organization looks forward to the day in the future when we can resume some of these outstanding community activities.”

Updates will be communicated as they are available and on amesdowntown.org and on the Ames Main Street social media channels.
