Ames Main Street Downtown Trick-or-Treat Cancelled

Originally scheduled to be held on October 30, 2020, Ames Main Street leaders have cancelled the annual Downtown Trick-or-Treat festivities.

“The safety of our community members and business owners is of the upmost importance to us,” says John Hall, Executive Director of Ames Main Street. “The Downtown Trick-or-Treat event brings hundreds of children downtown with little space to socially distance in stores. In an effort to do our part to mitigate the spread of COVID-19, our leadership team determined this was a necessary cancellation. We look forward to hosting this event again next year.”

Updates will be communicated as they are available and on amesdowntown.org and on the Ames Main Street social media channels.
