Mindfulness Event at Dog-Eared Books

Come hang out in the Dog-Eared loft for mindfulness exercises on Saturday, Sept 9! There will be a session titled “What is Mindfulness?” at 2 PM and a session called “The Physical Effects and Mental Health Benefits of Mindfulness” at 3 PM. During each hour-long session, graduate students from the Department of Psychology at Iowa State will lead you through mindfulness exercises like paced breathing and mindful coloring. They’ll also share with you the science behind mindfulness and meditation, giving you a scientific perspective on how these practices affect your mental and physical health.
